Producer

CWC welcomes Jan Strimple Productions as our 2019 fashion show producer. Professional models will present a runway style show featuring local designers.

Nha Khanh
Nha Khanh’s designs focus on modern glamour; they’re inspired by art, architecture and, most importantly, nature. The designs are ethereal, meticulously constructed, and host an ease about them that allows for an effortless sensibility. The company offers seasonal “advanced contemporary” Ready-to-Wear, a custom Atelier collection (which hosts one-of-a-kind custom pieces) and a bridal line. The collection joins lightness and softness of silhouette and fabrication with the celebration of construction and classic forms. Khanh Nguyen, co-founder and the Creative Director, has been surrounded by fashion and art throughout her life. The company takes pride in exceptionally well-made garments and strives to push the envelope on innovation and creative, elegant designs.

BéBloom Kids
BéBloom Kids is where family meets fashion. Whether you are a family member, photographer, or stylist, we are here to light you through your child’s blooming season. “Bé” translates to “child” in Vietnamese. BéBloom Kids is an accessible, online luxury childrens wear rental service. We provide helpful tools for the community of current and future parents. We believe in affordability, growth, and living eco-friendly. Our designs embody a youthful elegance with a modern edge. Our sizes run from 2T-10 girls’ and includes: special occasion, day, and flower girl dresses. What makes us special? With every new season, we will offer exclusive styles, which will be inspired from the Nha Khanh women's ready-to-wear collection. Who doesn’t love a good mommy-and-me duo?

Bladi Duran
Bladi Duran received his Associates in Arts degree from El Centro College in Dallas, Texas in 2012. At the end of his college experience, Bladi received top honors in his graduating class with a focus in fashion design and pattern making. As a young boy, Bladi learned the art of couture from his mother who was a lifetime seamstress and a constant inspiration in Bladi’s own design aspirations. Since then, Bladi has developed a passion for custom couture that has driven him to produce beautiful garments that are unique and incorporate his own creative vision. Bladi began teaching women’s tailoring at El Centro College where he helps young designers learn the art of tailoring as he did.

NeoBantu
Founded in late 2013 by Tendai Tawonezvi, NeoBantu is a fusion of the vibrant African print and classic modern feminine styles. Born of the African Bantu culture that encourages community while celebrating individuality – a culture that says: “I am because we are.” Influenced by her love of travel, Tendai gathered a skilled team of equally passionate, taste savvy connoisseurs of African cultures and started NeoBantu in a small studio in Dallas. A contemporary ready to wear women's line along with accessories, focused on timeless, artfully designed garments. The vibrancy of Africa is carried through in the bold prints that are inspired by her and Neobantu hopes to bring an abundance of that vibrancy into your life.

Askari Collection
Shirin Askari's love for designing compelled her to create ASKARI. She made her first dress at the age of 7. Over the years, her hobby of making her own clothing turned into a career path. Shortly after graduating with a fashion design degree, Shirin was invited to be on the hit TV show Project Runway. Since then she has shown at New York Fashion Week in Lincoln Center with audiences including Mary Kate Olsen, Debra Messing and Kristen Chenoweth. Her designs have also taken her to Milan for fashion week in addition to being awarded Fashion Group International’s “Rising Star in Fashion” Award. The collection embraces effortless silhouettes, mixed with bright colors and artistic prints uniquely appropriate for every occasion.

OpalMilk
Growing up in the Pacific North West gave Myriah (Rye) Shaw an insatiable craving for nature and the industrial, practical styles that the region requires. She translates these cravings into her jewelry line, and pairs them with the unexpected. "I love the combination of something dead, ugly, and rigid; with a touch of something that sparkles. Perhaps it is the way I translate how I see myself, and the constant turn-over of a life transcending. Yin & Yang, that lovely balance." Rye moved to Italy in 2011 where she decided to pursue art as a career. After returning to Idaho, she began to collect things off of the land -- antlers, bird skulls, butterfly wings, and natural stones. "I found myself wanting to wear them, so I taught myself how to make jewelry. OpalMilk has evolved into a boutique featuring little bits of everything I am or have been."

Nancy Garland
Art is a part of Nancy Garland’s soul. Her father was a jazz enthusiast and creative genius and her mother was a student of style and graceful etiquette. This emerging jewelry designer spends countless hours in her home studio stringing beads, placing stones and clasping jewels into scintillating collections of stunning necklaces, striking bracelets and delightful earrings that can accessorize any outfit with elegance and aplomb. “I can see something, a color or art form and I think to myself, I can translate that into a piece of jewelry. If I love it I believe other women will as well — we all cherish beauty.” Nancy’s brilliant attention to detail is unsurpassed and allows her to make heart stopping pieces that lay on the wearer’s neck with ease and comfort.

JKorab
Jeanette Korab's career in art, fashion and photography has spanned the globe. Korab instructed abroad at the American Fashion College of Switzerland, Lucerne and her own private studies in art were then continued in Santa Fe, New Mexico; Venice and Tuscany, Italy; and Paris, Giverny and Versailles, France and Spain. Representing a third and most beautiful featured medium, the art of Jeanette Korab becomes fashion through her fine jewelry designs. Each stunning piece connects the bearer with a stories destination, symbolic stone, or talisman. A gem-encrusted lotus forms the clasp of a striking lariat; an ancient turkish design comes to life in a modern collar; a spectrum in druzy glitters in all shapes and sizes.
