Shirin Askari's love for designing compelled her to create ASKARI. She made her first dress at the age of 7. Over the years, her hobby of making her own clothing turned into a career path. Shortly after graduating with a fashion design degree, Shirin was invited to be on the hit TV show Project Runway.
Since then she has shown at New York Fashion Week in Lincoln Center with audiences including Mary Kate Olsen, Debra Messing and Kristen Chenoweth. Her designs have also taken her to Milan for fashion week in addition to being awarded Fashion Group International’s “Rising Star in Fashion” Award.
The collection embraces effortless silhouettes, mixed with bright colors and artistic prints uniquely appropriate for every occasion.
Growing up in the Pacific North West gave Myriah (Rye) Shaw an insatiable craving for nature and the industrial, practical styles that the region requires. She translates these cravings into her jewelry line, and pairs them with the unexpected. "I love the combination of something dead, ugly, and rigid; with a touch of something that sparkles. Perhaps it is the way I translate how I see myself, and the constant turn-over of a life transcending. Yin & Yang, that lovely balance."
Rye moved to Italy in 2011 where she decided to pursue art as a career. After returning to Idaho, she began to collect things off of the land -- antlers, bird skulls, butterfly wings, and natural stones. "I found myself wanting to wear them, so I taught myself how to make jewelry. OpalMilk has evolved into a boutique featuring little bits of everything I am or have been."
Art is a part of Nancy Garland’s soul. Her father was a jazz enthusiast and creative genius and her mother was a student of style and graceful etiquette. This emerging jewelry designer spends countless hours in her home studio stringing beads, placing stones and clasping jewels into scintillating collections of stunning necklaces, striking bracelets and delightful earrings that can accessorize any outfit with elegance and aplomb. “I can see something, a color or art form and I think to myself, I can translate that into a piece of jewelry. If I love it I believe other women will as well — we all cherish beauty.”
Nancy’s brilliant attention to detail is unsurpassed and allows her to make heart stopping pieces that lay on the wearer’s neck with ease and comfort.
Jeanette Korab's career in art, fashion and photography has spanned the globe. Korab instructed abroad at the American Fashion College of Switzerland, Lucerne and her own private studies in art were then continued in Santa Fe, New Mexico; Venice and Tuscany, Italy; and Paris, Giverny and Versailles, France and Spain. Representing a third and most beautiful featured medium, the art of Jeanette Korab becomes fashion through her fine jewelry designs. Each stunning piece connects the bearer with a stories destination, symbolic stone, or talisman. A gem-encrusted lotus forms the clasp of a striking lariat; an ancient turkish design comes to life in a modern collar; a spectrum in druzy glitters in all shapes and sizes.
